The team

We have a wealth of horticultural knowledge, and each individual team member specialises in a specific area of interest, such as pests and problems, pruning and propagation, vegetable growing and gardening for wildlife. No matter your question, our team of experts are at hand to help.

Tom Pountney - Manager

Gill Jones - Plant Supervisor

Gill has nearly 40 years of experience with a BSC (Hons) in Horticulture. She’s a self-confessed ‘plantaholic’, herbaceous perennial specialist and keen allotment owner.

Harry Bramley – Plant Assistant

Harry has worked at LovePlants for over 7 years and is an invaluable member of our team. Harry is a budding author who is working hard on his first novel in his spare time.

Chris Gater – Handy Man

Chris has worked for LovePlants since May 2021. He has a wealth of experience as a builder and supports us as a handyman and delivery driver.

Caroline Humphreys – Plant Advisor

Caroline joined Love Plants back in 2017 and brings a wealth of gardening experience and horticultural knowledge which she shares with enthusiasm. Caroline has a keen interest in informal, cottage-garden style planting and can offer advice on planning, planting and aftercare of your plants.
